The idea was that this was going to be the answer for the client to reduce the stress and hassle of commuting from their family home in the suburbs during the weekdays by having the convenience of such a centrally-located  space. As size is extremely limited in the studio, duality is key.

Whilst designing, we took into account the different scenarios of work, live and play which might occur within the space. Without wanting to go overboard with too many moveable devices, we selected only important elements within the space that need to perform duality in their functions without needing any complicated overwhelming movements.The Murphy bed as well as the open clothes hanger arrangement are examples of how we can free up as much open plan space as possible whilst some joinery elements such as the pull-able desk and benchtop drawer are designed to provide extra study or prep space when needed but tucked neatly whenever not in use.
